Welcome Home to Zion!
Built with unique to this area cobblestone walls that require years of accumulating and sorting of stones for size and color and talented masons; West Walworth Zion was established in 1856 as a Evangelical United Brethren Church. Zion United Methodist Church is a warm, loving community of faith, worshiping our God, and serving our neighbors. Our mission is to “Seek and win people to Jesus Christ and His church, reach out to the unchurched and encourage people to become active disciples of Jesus Christ.” Our core values include missions, worship, music, and prayer.
Zion is in the middle of the hamlet of West Walworth, an eastern suburb of Rochester, New York. Located only 20 miles from downtown, residents enjoy the benefits of upscale urban culture and entertainment, a short commute, and excellent public schools. If you are looking for a church – a place where you can call home – consider your neighbors and friends of Zion. Welcome home to Zion!

Hurricane Helene disaster response From:
Kristina Clark Associate Director of Missional Excellence Disaster Response Coordinator
We are heartbroken to witness the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene to communities across our United Methodist Connection.
PAUSE: Please do not self-deploy or send product donations directly to the disaster area. We are connected to the affected communities through our United Methodist Connection, and we will be notified if there are specific needs that we can help with. Unsolicited product donations and help can overwhelm an already chaotic situation. The Early Response Teams in Upper New York will be invited to assist through UMCOR when additional help is needed.
DONATE: The most effective way we can make a difference is through a generous financial contribution. Consider donating to UMCOR US Disaster Response or visit the website of one of the impacted conferences to donate directly to a specific response.
